ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS ,P.R.GOVERNMENT COLLEGE (A),KAKINADA

 About the Department :

The department of Mathematics was established in the year 1884 in P.R.Government  College ( Autonomous ) , Kakinada by Maha Raja of Pithapuram affiliated to Andhra University , Waltair. At that time there were two group combinations with Mathematics .  It has galaxy of professors in Mathematics who produced stalwarts . We are proud enough to say that the fame of the department has reached to horizons . Most of our students are working at abroad in various key positions  . Eminent teachers like Sri Dhanyamraju seshagiri Rao , Sri M.Vasudeva Murthy, Sri.S.K.V.Acharyulu , Dr.K.H.S.Subrahmanyam , Dr.E.Rukmangadachari worked sincerely for the uplift of the department .

The first under graduated course with Satatistics combination i.e., Mathematics , Statistics and Computer Science was started in 2008-09 . A novel restructured courses and an interdisciplinary courses , i) M.C.AC ( Mathematics , Chemistry  and Analytical chemistry ) was introduced in the academic year 2018-19,      ii) B.VOC ( Pharma ) was introduced in the academic year 2019-20 and iii) M.E.IOT            ( Mathematics , Electronics and Internet of thinking ) was introduced in the academic year 2020-21  . In B.Sc , Mathematics stream the department  is having various combinations like

MPC (TM) - (Mathematics , Physics , chemistry )

MPC (EM) -(Mathematics , Physics , chemistry )

 MCPC - ( mathematics , Chemistry , Petro Chemical )

 MPE - ( Mathematics , Physics , Electronics )

MCCs -( Mathematics , Chemistry , Computer Science )

MPCs -( Mathematics , Physics , Computer Science )

MECs - ( Mathematics , Electronics , Computer Science )

MSCs - ( Mathematics , Statistics , Computer Science ) and

MSAS -( Mathematics , statistics and Actuarial Science )

MEIOT-(Mathematics ,Electronics ,Internet of things )
